The tax-deductible status of donations to LifeFunder fundraisers can vary depending on the tax status of the organizer.

Most donations made on LifeFunder.com go directly to a beneficiary rather than a charitable nonprofit organization and therefore are not tax-deductible.

Donations may be tax-deductible when they go directly to a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a government-issued EIN. In these cases, the campaign page on LifeFunder will show a badge that indicates this is a verified nonprofit.  The donation receipt will also include information about whether or not the donation is tax-deductible.

If having a tax-deductible status for your donation is a requirement, you should check with the organizer prior to donating. You will want to look for a verified nonprofit badge on the campaign page.

Please consult your tax adviser for additional information regarding contributions you may make on LifeFunder.com.
